Construction has begun in Indio for a new city hall facility and library. The city’s old library was recently demolished and was described by Indio City Manager Bryan Montgomery as “inadequate and not meeting the needs of residents.” The new library’s construction is expected to be completed in about a year and the new city hall facility is expected to be completed in 2026.

Both buildings will be located at Civic Center Drive & Towne Street in downtown Indio, with the city hall building standing atop the previous site of the old library, and the new library building adjacent to that.
