Rancho Mirage’s city council has unanimously approved a proposal to build a 150-unit apartment complex just north of the new Disney Cotino development and has agreed to defer development impact fees to be repaid over time after the project breaks ground. The planned site is located on 5 acres south of Regal Rancho Mirage and east of Key Largo Avenue.

The developers, National Community Renaissance and USA Properties Fund, have proposed a total of seven buildings, consisting of two and three-story structures, with a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. The complex will include a community center, playground, swimming pool, game court, butterfly garden, and grilling station. The apartments will be available to those who qualify as low-income. There is no word yet on when construction might begin.
