The Agua Caliente Cultural Plaza is currently under construction in downtown Palm Springs at the corner of N Indian Canyon and E Tahquitz Canyon. The Plaza will feature a new approximately 48,000 sq. ft. Agua Caliente Cultural Museum, approximately 40,000 sq. ft. Spa at Séc-he, a Gathering Plaza, gardens, and an Oasis Trail. 

The Museum will feature a main gallery, changing gallery, art gallery, education center, and garden. The Spa will focus on celebrating the ancient healing waters of the Agua Caliente Hot Mineral Spring, which are estimated to be upwards of 12,000 years old with a unique mineral make-up not found anywhere else in the world. 

Inspiration for the Cultural Plaza’s design includes Agua Caliente traditions such as basket weaving, pottery, and elements found in nature such as desert landscapes, Andreas Canyon rock formations, and Washingtonia filifera palm trees. The opening date has not been confirmed but it is slated to open in Spring 2023.
