The Coachella Valley’s first Dave & Buster’s could be coming to Rancho Mirage as representatives of the company have met with the City of Rancho Mirage Planning Department for a pre-application meeting. City planners have determined that the restaurant and arcade business would be an approved use for their target location, although the City has not specified exactly where it would be.

Discussions are in the very early stages and no official application has been submitted to the City of Rancho Mirage. A suspected potential location is the River, a 30-acre outdoor mall with retail, restaurants, and a movie theater, which has the proper zoning and available space.

City of Rancho Mirage Councilmember Iris Smotrich stated in 2021 that the City has a desire to “change with the community needs.” Dave & Buster’s would present an attractive destination for young adults and families and could potentially bring more business to the area.
