A new Del Webb development, Desert Retreat, will be coming to north Indio after Indio’s city council approved the plans in August. The project site is about 378 acres and is located between Madison and Jefferson on the north side of Avenue 40. The plans state the homes will be built in phases over the next 10 years.

The first phase will include 270 homes with a model grand opening coming in early 2025. The project will include a community clubhouse with pickleball and tennis courts, expected to be completed in 2026. This is the latest of several Pulte Homes developments in the Coachella Valley, including communities in Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage.
