Palm Springs Surf Club, located at the former Wet ‘n Wild water park in Palm Springs, appears to be gearing up to open its doors to the public soon. The surf park has been in the works for several years, gaining Planning Commission approval in 2019. While an official opening date has not yet been announced, the surf club has announced two job fairs that will be taking place in early September.
Palm Springs Surf Club’s plans include a large wave pool with wave-making technology, and a replacement for the existing lazy river. The park anticipates up to 1,500 attendees at peak times and will staff at least 200 employees. There are several other surf/wave parks in the works in the Coachella Valley, including DSRT Surf in Palm Desert, Thermal Beach Club in Thermal, and Cotino, the Disney Storyliving development in Rancho Mirage.
