Riverside County Supervisors have approved zoning changes for a site in Thousand Palms just north of Interstate 10, to allow for what could be the largest warehouse facility in the area. Majestic Realty, an industrial and office park developer in Southern California, submitted plans for a 1.234 million-square-foot “warehouse/distribution/manufacturing development center” located on approximately 83 acres on the east side of Rio Del Sol Rd, just south of SA Recycling.

The exact use has not yet been determined, but documents filed with the county state that the building could potentially be used as a distribution center, e-commerce, or manufacturing. The proposed project would include 2.5 acres for use by Imperial Irrigation District to build a new electrical substation.
