November 29, 2022
The 2022 County of Riverside State of the County event will bring hundreds of stakeholders together to discuss Riverside County’s growth and opportunities for business investment, job growth, quality of life, and tourism/hospitality. The event will be held on December 8, 2022 from 8 am to 11 am at the Morongo Resort in Cabazon.
Speakers at the event will include Board Chairman Jeff Hewitt, Supervisor Karen Spiegel, and Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, and the M.C. will be County Executive Officer Jeff Van Wagenen. The event will also include opportunities for networking and a business and services expo.
“The recent 2020 Census data confirms what we’ve known for years,” said Van Wagenen. “We believe our rapid growth is proof that we’re doing something right as more people choose to live and work here. We are growing by 30,000 people every year – that’s like adding a city the size of Desert Hot Springs, Norco or Wildomar every year. We are optimistic that our population growth will also pave the way for new and increased funding that provide for critically important services to our residents.”
